Part of the 20.5 mile new light rail system, the Minimum Operable Segment-3 (MOS-3) Phase, is the next phase of the Hudson Bergen Light Rail Transit System (HBLRTS) Project. The project is comprised of an approximately one mile extension of the HBLRTS from the existing 22nd Street Station to the proposed 8th Street Station in Bayonne, New Jersey. The new track work will run along the western edge of the Conrail Bayonne Yard behind residential and commercial properties on an embankment. The project includes a new train station, a 2148 ft viaduct, a 1348 ft retaining wall, overhead catenary power systems and power substations.

  • Subsurface investigation for viaduct, retaining wall, station building and substation
  • Design of soldier pile and concrete lagging retaining wall socketed in bedrock
  • Design of foundation for station building and substation
  • Preparation of a geotechnical report
  • Construction inspection for installation and testing of large diameter of drilled shafts socketed into diabase bedrock
