This multi-interchange project includes the total reconstruction and widening of 2.1 miles of the NJ Route 18 corridor from the U.S. Route 1 interchange through the NJ Route 27 (Albany Street) interchange. The project involved 4 mainline bridge structures, 4 pedestrian bridge structures, 27 retaining walls including 4 retaining walls mounted with sound barrier walls, 4 simple sound barrier walls, 1 bulkhead replacement adjacent to the Raritan River, and 1 box culvert, several concrete pipe culverts, various sign structures and mainline and ramp pavement and multi-modal enhancements.
